Welcome to Wessex Web
|
Welcome to Wessex! On behalf of the children, staff and Governors may I welcome you to our school. Wessex Primary School is situated in the village of Cox Green on the Western edge of Maidenhead and was created in 2006 when Wessex Nursery, Infant and Junior schools merged. We currently have 450 children on roll and a staff team of 60 adults. Our new website aims to keep you up to date with and give you helpful information about our aims, general organisation and activities. We also want children, parents, our wider community and new visitors alike to have a window into all that we do and are so proud of here at Wessex. Our main aim is to provide quality teaching and highly effective learning for every individual. Equally, we continue to employ new technologies and innovative, practical strategies to ensure that our children are thoroughly engaged in and enjoying school from the beginning until the end of their day. |

Our friendly staff team is clearly committed to providing a secure and happy environment in which all children are able to thrive socially, emotionally and academically. This is built on by the strong ethos fostered by all members of the school community. Our children are highly motivated, well behaved and truly delightful to teach!
If you are new to Wessex, don't just take my word for it! I am always delighted to spend time showing parents and children around our school and to talk about our aims, beliefs and activities. Please feel welcome to visit our school, ask questions and find out for yourself why I think we are the right choice for your child.
