Fireworks
The next Wessex Primary School PTA Fireworks is on Friday 5 November 2010.
The 2009 event was on Friday 6 November 2009. We had a large crowd because the event has been running for 6 years and is well known in the local area. The weather wasn't on our side and it rained during part of the event. But by the time Mr Stevens started the countdown to the 20-minute display, the clouds and rain had disappeared. 5-4-3-2-1! The fireworks were loud, colourful and bright - a fabulous display for those who had braved the earlier weather.
Other attractions included a BBQ, hot and cold drinks and snacks (including lovely doughnuts!), Moonwalk bouncy castle, fun fair and pipe organ. Our resident DJ provided some great sounds. Raffle tickets and flashing wands were on offer too.
We are very grateful to those who helped out, either before, on or after the night - it could not have happened without you!
We made a huge £2398 - this is money that directly helps your school and gives your children a better learning experience. So thank you to those who came along.
Parents, why not volunteer to help out at our next PTA event? We don't bite, you'll be helping the school and you might even enjoy it!
