We will be open as planned on Monday, 6th September at the usual time after a very busy Summer break. The re-wire of the lower school and nursery buildings is complete and the staff have worked incredibly hard to get everything back in place and ready for the children. The new building is also well under way, we have a brand new outside area for our Reception children and the new school environmental garden is also starting to look great. On arrival at school, children and parents will be directed to their new classrooms - 'left' for Green and Red classes and 'Right' for all other children, across the Upper School playground. We are really looking forward to the start to the new term and look forward to seeing you all back and ready to learn on Monday!

What an exciting start to the term! We have had a new class move in next door called Orange Base, we have had lots of new children join our Reception classes, we also have some new adults to meet in Yellow and Orange Bases and on top of all of that excitement, we have had LOTS of snow!

After making lots of snowmen and igloos during the snow days, all of the Yellow Base children have come back to school and settled really well. This term we are learning about Travel and Transport so we have been finding out about all the different forms of transport and talking about journeys.

We have looked closely at Trains and have been on our very own train journey aboard the Imagination Express. The children saw some amazing things on their journey and have drawn and painted pictures and written about what they saw. You can see a few pieces of their work below, we have used our class visualiser to capture these images.

I saw a giraffe. I saw a green crocodile eating a fish.

I saw a juggler on a unicycle.

I saw a man jumping in a volcano. I saw a lady parachuting.

They have also recorded their work on the interactive whiteboard, we have made it into a talking story book.
