Hello from Mrs Sanders, Mrs Steven and Red class.

Red Class have already been very busy this term.

The children have all been reading stories with familiar settings e.g. The Rainbow fish, using them to begin to create their own stories. They enjoyed designing colourful fish and parrots to illustrate them too. 

In science the children have been learning about how they have changed since they were babies. They have had great fun trying to guess who all their friends are in the baby pictures they brought into school. Some excellent research for homework and a visit from a baby has been a great help with this work.

Harvest is soon to be upon us. To introduce the festival the children had to guess which story we were going to study when we visited the chickens this week! They soon guessed correctly and they enjoyed creating a pictorial version of the Little Red Hen on the interactive whiteboard complete with an audio version of the story to support their illustrations. The children will also be making bread with the help of a parent and working as part of a lower school team to create a large story board picture for everyone to enjoy in the hall.
