We will be open as planned on Monday, 6th September at the usual time after a very busy Summer break. The re-wire of the lower school and nursery buildings is complete and the staff have worked incredibly hard to get everything back in place and ready for the children. The new building is also well under way, we have a brand new outside area for our Reception children and the new school environmental garden is also starting to look great. On arrival at school, children and parents will be directed to their new classrooms - 'left' for Green and Red classes and 'Right' for all other children, across the Upper School playground. We are really looking forward to the start to the new term and look forward to seeing you all back and ready to learn on Monday!

This term Purple class have been very busy finding out about different materials. We wanted to make a waterproof coat for the troll, as he kept getting very wet living under a bridge! So we carried out an experiment to find out which materials were waterproof and after dropping water on to four different materials discovered that nylon and plastic were waterproof but fleece and wool let the water through.

We have also been finding out about old toys through our Literacy and History work. The children have asked adults lots of questions about the toys they played with when they were young. We enjoyed sorting different toys into sets and writing a class information book about old toys to put in our book box in the classroom. We also made string puppets and toys to go with our class song about old toys.

This term we have also been looking at the human and physical features found in and around Maidenhead and we have tried paper weaving in our art sessions and produced some great results!
