Nursery Term 6

In Nursery we have been watching caterpillars turn into butterflies. We really enjoyed watching their progress each day as they spun themselves a cacoon and waited patiently to hatch. Here is one of the butterfies on Mrs Blocksidge's hand about to fly away.

We all sang songs about insects to the butterflies as they flew away. Here is a picture of Ben, Connor, Noah and friends having a careful look at the beautiful patterns on their wings.

Sports Day was fun! The weather was perfect and we all dressed up in the theme of 'The World Cup'. We each ran two races and scored a goal at the end of the second race. It was great to see the toddlers, mums and dads joining in the races too! Afterwards our families and friends joined us in the Nursery garden for a drink and cakes, it was a lovely day.

One of our favourite days of the year in Nursery is when Basil's Barnyard comes to visit. We get the chance to stroke, feed and brush all sorts of farmyard animals. Here are Oliver and Sophie gently grooming a pony. Even though it was only last week we are already looking forward to their next visit!

Have a lovely summer everyone from all of us in Nursery!
