We will be open as planned on Monday, 6th September at the usual time after a very busy Summer break. The re-wire of the lower school and nursery buildings is complete and the staff have worked incredibly hard to get everything back in place and ready for the children. The new building is also well under way, we have a brand new outside area for our Reception children and the new school environmental garden is also starting to look great. On arrival at school, children and parents will be directed to their new classrooms - 'left' for Green and Red classes and 'Right' for all other children, across the Upper School playground. We are really looking forward to the start to the new term and look forward to seeing you all back and ready to learn on Monday!

This term has just disappeared so fast because we have been busy bees!

In Science we planned an investigation to find out, Which height on a ramp would make a car travel further? The children made a prediction. After the experiment we recorded the results and many of the children found that their prediction was correct.

In DT we have looked at a range of puppets. We discussed what we like about each puppet and drew our favourite one. Last week we designed a puppet and labelled the different parts. We practised sewing the puppet together. It was fun trying the different sewing techniques.

We have learned about Florence Nightingale and her journey to Scutari. The children imagined that they travelled with Florence on her journey and described the conditions they were faced with.

We even tried to program Roamer to make a square. We tried other shapes as well.

In Literacy we wrote Riddles about our favourite colour. Some of them were very thought provoking.

The children visited Cox Green High School for a Multi-skills event by the end of the afternoon most of the children came back very tired. They enjoyed raising money for Sports Relief, especially running around the track. Some children even ran 4 laps for charity!

Enjoy you Easter break and we will see you in next term.
