Welcome to the Green Class page, we have settled well into the new term. Here are some highlights. We have chosen our School Council members. They are both very proud of their new roles and have now attended their first School Council meeting.

  

In Literacy the children have learned about different story settings. They have read the story of ‘The Rainbow fish’ and the children have made some wonderful pictures for a display in the classroom. The children have also listened to the story of ’The Little Red Hen’. Some of the children retold the story and we have recorded it onto the Interactive whiteboard alongside pictures they have drawn to make a storyboard.

We all enjoyed learning about how we grow in Science. The children have brought in beautiful pictures of themselves as a baby. As a class we played ‘guess the babies.’  It was great fun! The children have also written about the changes they have experienced as a baby and as a toddler for their homework.

In Numeracy we have also used a computer program for data handling and have made pictograms to show the colour of our hair.

We are now busy preparing for the Harvest assembly. They have made sketches of different fruit and vegetables for a display in the hall. The children are busily learning a special Harvest poem and Harvest songs for a special assembly.
