We will be open as planned on Monday, 6th September at the usual time after a very busy Summer break. The re-wire of the lower school and nursery buildings is complete and the staff have worked incredibly hard to get everything back in place and ready for the children. The new building is also well under way, we have a brand new outside area for our Reception children and the new school environmental garden is also starting to look great. On arrival at school, children and parents will be directed to their new classrooms - 'left' for Green and Red classes and 'Right' for all other children, across the Upper School playground. We are really looking forward to the start to the new term and look forward to seeing you all back and ready to learn on Monday!

Another term has flown by in a hive of activity: revision, hockey, Pop-Art, science investigating, as well as Sports Relief day and so much more!

Have a look at the pictures below to see a small snap-shot of our term…

Our Year 6 hockey team played brilliantly in a local tournament at Altwood School. Their teamwork was outstanding and everyone played their socks off! We didn't make it to the semifinals, but for us, it was the taking part and having fun that was important!

These eye-catching Pop-Art posters were amongst the many fabulous designs created by budding artists in 6D. The children were inspired by artists such as Andy Warhol, who used every-day objects and turned them into works of art. Check out the children's work next time you are in the Upper School Hall!

Would you know how to get clean water from this muddy puddle? We did! Using our new found separating skills, we used sieves and filter-paper and were rewarded with clean water. We then went on to get solid salt particles back from salty water. You'll have to chat with someone in 6D to find out how!

In amongst all this fun, the children have worked really hard revising for their SATs tests in May. Everyone is making super progress and I'm really proud of you all. Good luck for next term!

Mrs Dore :-)
