We will be open as planned on Monday, 6th September at the usual time after a very busy Summer break. The re-wire of the lower school and nursery buildings is complete and the staff have worked incredibly hard to get everything back in place and ready for the children. The new building is also well under way, we have a brand new outside area for our Reception children and the new school environmental garden is also starting to look great. On arrival at school, children and parents will be directed to their new classrooms - 'left' for Green and Red classes and 'Right' for all other children, across the Upper School playground. We are really looking forward to the start to the new term and look forward to seeing you all back and ready to learn on Monday!

This term have continued learning about The Tudors, Henry VIII and his 6 wives and the differences between rich and poor people.

In Literacy we have been learning about playscripts and have been enjoying some drama/literacy lessons with a Drama teacher from Cox Green School. We have also been reading, performing and writing our own endings to a playscript.

We combined our knowledge of The Tudors and playscripts and used this to perform a ‘court room scene’ for our assembly last week. We all worked very hard on our performances and costumes and Mrs Piper was very proud of us. A big ‘thank you’ to Mrs Champion and Miss Davies for all their hard work and help with our assembly.

We also looked at Coats of Arms as part of our history lessons and created our own shields in art using clay. It was rather messy, but so far we are pleased with the results. Next we need to glaze them when they have been fired in the kiln . . . watch this space!

We wish you a Happy Easter!!
