Christmas is nearly here and all of the Lions were wondering where the term has gone?!

In science they have been so busy learning about all the different characteristics of materials. Can you guess, from Joshua’s photographs, what the item is and what it is made of? The children even carried out an investigation into which paper is the best one for mopping up Mr Lloyd’s tea when he spills it!

Mr Lloyd’s numeracy set had to design posters showing what they had learnt about fractions and are in the middle of an important data handling task for Mr Stevens at the moment, gathering information about what after school sports clubs the children would like to see at Wessex. The carpet even came in use..

Everyone has enjoyed exploring ancient Egypt and finding out about the Nile, pharaohs such as king Tut and how the pyramids were built. They even discovered that when a body was mummified the brains were pulled out using a metal hook through the nose…yuck!
