Children are given the opportunity apply to be a teacher for an afternoon.  They first have to apply for the post with an application form, stating why they would be good for the role and what lesson they might teach.  Shortlisting by the headteacher and deputy then takes place and children are asked to a short interview.  Finally, a few children are selected to be a teacher for the afternoon and teach a class (under supervision by the regular class teacher).

On occasions, children are also given the opportnity to be a headteacher/deputy for the day!  A similar application process takes place and the succesful applicant gets to use the headteacher's office, run an assembly and organise his or her senior management team!
